My Journey

The bike gave me a front row seat to escape the daily madness and understand how Nutrition and Lifestyle effect Health.

Meat based to Vegetarian to Species Appropriate lifestyle!

My journey of understanding health began in high school teaching CPR to the local elementary school. In my senor year I started my path to becoming a CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) working for Kroger and then transferring to Publix pharmacy for a cumulative total of 16 years. Throughout my professional pharmacy carrier I earned a Bachelors in Chemistry from Kennesaw State University with a focus on organic, Inorganic and organometallic chemistry. While attending Kennesaw State University I became the president of the Cycling and Triathlon club leading training rides, coaching sessions, and racing with the team all over Georgia. In 2009 I become a USA Cycling Georgia State cross country mountain bike champion for expert males 19-29. I also began teaching spin classes at the local LA Fitness and taught for a total of 11 years (2006 to 2017) at many La Fitness locations in the area.

Post college while working at Publix Pharmacy I realized that the Pharmaceutical industry kept people sick and addicted, Western medicine was not here to keep us healthy. This disappointed me at my core and I needed a change so I enrolled at the International School of Gemology and became a Gemologist. As gemologist I started to work side by side with my father at Brown and Company jewelers in Buckhead Georgia learning the art of jewelry appraising.

Life up to this point revolved around work, training, and racing. I found myself looking for all the advantages to sport, from Compression boots, Caffeine tablets and becoming a hardcore Vegetarian. I was able to find success but I always had nagging issues like dry itchy skin, irritability, depression, bloating, gas, joint pains, and poor sleep. I spent about 8 years as a plant eater and found my self eating hyperpalatable and carbohydrate rich foods that continued to give me nagging issues. I came across Joe Rogan’s podcast with Dr. Shawn Baker and Dr. Paul Saladino; I then began my journey to eating meat again. Although I now disagree with Dr. Paul, I respect his passion and desire to change the way people treat food. Dr. Paul recommends fruit and honey, eating nose to tail like organ meats. These two ideas I have grown out of as I have learned more about how the body uses these substances. Fruit composed of fructose and glucose pose a big problem with cancer and metabolic disease while organ meats are high in fat soluble vitamins that can actually promote toxicity and potential hypervitaminosis. I discovered Dr. Anthony Chaffe, Dr. Bart Kay, Dr. Laszlo Boros, Dr. Elizabeth Bright, and Dr. Ken Berry who all support the idea of eat a proper human diet and avoiding substances that directly promote disfunction in our bodies.

Now that I am eating a species appropriate diet of fatty Meat, Fatty bone marrow, Salt, grass fed butter and water my endurance, energy, mood, depression, sleep, itchy skin, bowl distress and join pains have all improved. My life’s dream has always been to help people live a healthy life but I never felt like I had any real answers until now. I found out first hand that Western medicine, big business and Pharmaceutical companies aren’t designed to make us healthy. Modern medicine is great if you have a broken bone or a known condition that can be fought with specific drugs (that is If the Doctor is able to give you the proper treatments and advice). My 16 years in pharmacy allowed me to observe the dependence of an industry that relies heavily on the chemicals that directly promote dysfunction. Tablets, capsules, and drug components used to administer chemicals utilize cheap synthetic colors, fillers and flavors that are clearly toxic, how can that be good for Us? Big questions for a big industry that is driven by market manipulation, deception and greed.

The final step for me was understanding that plants, seed oils, and the hyperpalatable “Health” foods are actually propagating malnutrition, metabolic disease and bodily dysfunction of animals. The answer is having the desire to know the truth about these so called foods we all grew up eating. Highly processed cereals, snack bars, corn chips, fast and convenient foods have all made us all sick.

I hope that this website opens the door to a new world of Health for everyone! I am available to assist you on your journey to better Health. Coaching a systematic approach to lifestyle change that supports lasting improvements. I guarantee that you will learn how to be a healthier person if you so choose. My goal for you is to improve your Health so that your friends will ask “how did you change your life”?! Lets built a healthier society. This goal will take many of us to accomplish, but we can do it together!

Problems I had while eating plants, hyperpalatable foods, seed oils and not enough fatty meats!

  • depression, mind fog, and mood irritability

  • consistent loose stool

  • stomach cramping and flatulent.

  • dry and itchy skin

  • problems sleeping, waking to urinate frequently during the night.

  • joint pain, especially my left wrist

  • back and consistent knee pain

  • longer muscle recovery

  • I gave up Vegetables and hyperpalatable foods, ate more fatty meats and ALL those pains and concerns have gone away!

Broken bones, stitches, scars

  • right collarbone

  • two ribs

  • left elbow

  • the head of left radius

  • left fibula

  • a front tooth

  • multiple stitches to right arm

  • Too many tattoo’s from Mother earth and pavement encounters from head to toe.

Since breaking all these bones, eating more fatty meats and less plants, I have achieved what I thought was impossible. Range of motion in my shoulder and wrist! Cycling multiple back to back self supported mountain centuries. 260 miles on the Silver Comet; a cycling ride to Cheaha state park in Alabama in roughly 13 hours. Over 500 hours in the saddle (A mix of Road and mtn bike) for 2022 and still holding down a full time and a part time job. Not only did I regain strength and flexibility but I was able to improve my cycling output through consuming more Nutrient dense foods - A Carnivore life style of ruminant animals.

Your Dark Room is where you understand the Light.
